This book was recommended by someone who raved on & on. I was not that impressed. I LOVE mfm books. As evident by the title there are 5 M with 1 F. The one-on-one sex scenes are better than the group scenes. Some of the writing dragged on to the point of scanning some paragraphs. Details are needed more for flow (woman gets job in new city & goes straight to office before her company owned apartment & she never met her 5 bosses before). Moving past some of the missing details the story is interesting (tech company with 5 bosses & 1 new employee working & living together). The characters are good. Winston & Beck are my favorite male characters with stronger personalities. Anya holds her own with the men. Being a novella there is no time for deep conversations or getting to know each other therefore the love is insta-love on both ends.

This is the hottest Penny Wyler book I have read! Holy smokies it’s hot! I do wish it was longer only because I was very intrigued with the premise of a reversed harem. I loved all of the characters. I loved that Anya was spunky and challenged the boys. I would have to say if I had to choose just one of the men I would say Beck was my favorite. If you are looking for a story that is jammed packed with the hottest sex this is the one for you!

I don't how that's possible, but Penny Wylder's books keep getting better...and hotter.My kink-loving heart just couldn't pass this one up.I loved Anya attitude towards the whole thing:"Part of the fun of this job is going to be teasing these sexy men.They don’t seem to mind one bit, though."And Beck, Jason, Winston, Derrick and Trey?I want them all.

When one is reviewing an introductory book written by the august Michael Dummett at the end of his life, one can rest easy that no such con job will be perpetrated. *The Nature and Future of Philosophy* is a marvelous book that takes Dummett's seemingly esoteric expertise with the philosophy of Gottlob Frege or Brouwer's intuitionistic logic and rather seamlessly blends it with a synoptic account of philosophical problems as they developed in the 19th and 20th centuries. This is a book which could successfully "cure" those who think there are no legitimate philosophical problems not already addressed by scientists, and Dummett strikes an evenhanded tone in appealing to his fellow theists (perhaps only a minority in philosophy departments) and those believing themselves more interested in "Continental" thinkers - without dispensing with the traditional rigor of analytic philosophy.The "high points" of the history of philosophical analysis, handled more didactically by Scott Soames, are deftly inserted in the narrative: if you ever wondered how much information about the views of Donald Davidson could possibly be included in 500 words or so, you'll find out here, and other "all-stars" like Russell, Wittgenstein, Kripke and Quine get good (if critical) "capsule reviews". However, this is not only a book for the beginner: Dummett explains himself as well as others, and perhaps better than in the famously cryptic 70s writing on "a theory of meaning" - everyone who rates him as a thinker, or finds his "technical" works impossibly forbidding, will want to take a look. As Dummett was well along in years when this was composed and not the "state of the art", this is not an introduction to the very most contemporary analytic doctrines. It is as good a statement of the fundamental principles of analytic philosophy as we have, and probably as good a one as we are likely to get.Every philosophy major, and every seriously besotted "lover of wisdom", should own this.

I bought this book without reading the above reader's review. I read about 75% of the book. I quit reading after concluding that reading futher would be a waste of my time. I definitely agree with the above reader's review.

My initial delight upon finding this book at our public library was short. New students of philosophyshould avoid this title. It isn't just that Columbia University Press should be ashamedto publish a title with typos, a broken Table of Contents, a shockingly amateur cover,no index, footnotes or suggested reading list, but rather, the juxataposition ofDummett's intent to kill Plato's universals via his linguistic analysis techniquewhile at the same time adhering to his traditional Roman Catholic belief system.My hair is on fire.Chapter 1 begins with a chirlish tone. Why do universities have philosophy departmentsanyway? This seems ironic since Dummett allegedly is "amongst our foremost livingphilosophers" as the plug on the back informs. Why would someone at the pinnacle ofacademic philosphy begin a book about philosophy on such a sour note? Why not beginwith a normal discussion about philosophy having to do with being about the love of wisdom as one might expect? Still, he does pick his hero: Frge. Later in the book (page 62) that he says "all philosophy students at such universities are required to study him. Required? Why only Frege?Chapter 2 "What is a Philosophy Question" bypasses the entire history of Western philosophyand the wonderful contributions from Heraclitus, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Augustine,Spinoza, Descartes, and Kant to name just a few, and frames philosophy as the unworthy,misguided servant of science or as he says "For Quine and some other contemporary philosophersphilosophy is simply the most abstract part of science." Simply?Chapter 3 "Philosophy as the Grammar of Thought" prepares the injection. Gadimer is set up as thestraw man for Frege to bash. This book is all about advancing Dummett's analytic philosophy views,it neglects its history and rich traditions of different viewpoints.But Frege is complex, Dummett doesn't play fair, he later dismisses Frege'sentire third realm of universals as "plainly a piece of philosophical mythology" page 83.The rest of the chapters are easy on the Roman Catholic Christian religion, and tough on philosophic themes that can't be reduced to "the cat is on the mat" true or false statements. There is no clue as to how continentaland analytic philosophy could be resolved as the plug on the back claimed would occur. The final ironyis that the "Future of Philosophy chapter (only 7 pages long and almost half of that is a long quote fromanother author) ends with Dummett claiming that the existence of Christian God will be proven "in the lifetimesof our great grandchildren." page 151. Did he ever read Kant?My anger grew as the pages turned. His book reminded me of a documentary I saw about the rise of South African private hunting clubs that feature exotic animals to hunt. As you watched, it wasn't clear if the hunters really cared about the animals at all, or whether their primary interest was the pleasure of killing them. In the same way, I see Dummett as a hunter of philosophic ideas, not interested in their intrinsic worth to the human experience but quite interested in eliminating them.

Start here. Our 4 month old has been voraciously drinking his formula and in shorter intervals than before. In addition, he's been stuffing his hands in his mouth in an attempt to eat them lol. We figured it was time to introduce solid food into his diet and have absolutely no idea where to start. We knew we want to make our own puree and feed the little guy instead of the store bought stuff, so we equipped ourselves with a Babycook steamer/blender, Infantino Squeeze Station + squeeze bags and this book. This book help take away the guess work on baby food. It start with about 10 basic fruit and vegetable puree recipes to establish the "building block" of baby's solid food regiment, then transitions into more "complex" recipe, whose ingredients essentially build upon previous recipes and becomes more complex and complete as your baby evolves with age. The recipes are a far cry from being classified as "gourmet," but if your definition of "gourmet" is food that requires prep work and ingredients that you would eat, then you're better off sticking to chicken nuggets, fish sticks, pigs in a blanket and scrambled eggs lol. I like how the ingredients are partitioned by age group (6-8 months, 8-12 months, 12+ months) and by food type (super snack, finger food, wake-up time, family dinner, etc.) - most importantly, each recipe build upon the previous recipes. This book also have a lot of colorful picture to illustrate the different recipes, a big plus.

Not my favorite, a bit too gourmet more me. I think if you are the type of person who needs to buy a cook book to figure out what to feed your baby (as I am, I am panicked that I am now responsible for the nutrition of another human being) then you need a simple cookbook with meals you can share with your toddler. I don't need to be challenged by interesting ingredients, I need to be encouraged by how easy it can be.

Great book. I bought for my toddler. Only 1 chapter is on baby purees. The rest has recipes for older kids. Love that it gives nutrition info for each recipe as well as great info on allergies, vegetarians, picky eaters, ect.

I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!! After going to an awful Baby's First Foods class that had no direction on recipes or what to offer your child, I found this reference on Parents.com. It's been my go-to book since day one of starting solids and I'm excited to try out the recipes each week. It goes all the way up to toddler and I'm excited about that. It is soooo easy to read and follow. I love that its organized into age ranges and how to dress up a redundant solid! This was so helpful in helping me decide what solids works best for me and my family, how to prep and make homemade food, as well as, what to watch for in allergies and when to start finger foods. This is also for those who are unsure of babyled weaning and want to start out with purees. I highly recommend this book to any first time parent!

The recipes in this book are ok, but what make the book a worthwhile buy is all the information the book contains on infant nutrition. As a first time parent, we were at a loss on how much to feed our baby and this book gives you a rough idea of how much protein, fruit and vegetables and milk your child should be eating based on age. A valuable resource and definitely worth the $10 investment.

Baby good isn’t rocket science, and this book doesn’t make it out to be. Love the nutrition information at the start and the simple purées for infants. As a first time mom I was (am) anxious about doing my best for baby when it comes to food. Sure, I could have figured most of this out using Google, but the book is a comforting supplement from people who know what they’re doing. Might add this to my “baby gift list” for showers!

This book gave me a different perspective on feeding my baby. I bought it when my son was newborn and it inspired me to prepare real food for him instead of relying on store bought baby foods. My 14 month old son is a great eater because he had been eating healthy, nutritious real food since the beginning. I highly recommend it to anyone with young children and babies. Building a healthy relationship with food is one of the best things you can do for your child!

I loved the author's philosophy on when to start solids, how to do it, serving sizes, bulk cooking, etc. It's a light read with colorful pages and fun ideas, but packed with helpful tips and guidelines. The recipes look easy, tasty and nutritious. I also love how each recipe has an option to kick it up a notch with various flavors and spices. For instance, you might try adding turmeric to cauliflower puree or mint to zucchini puree. So many good ideas, I absolutely love this book!

I like this book quite a bit. Some of the "recipes" are quite obvious, but they have a few good ideas as baby gets older. Being a first time mom, I also appreciate the guide in terms of how much and when. So far baby has eaten everything in the book! (She's 8mo)
